A tree for the future: the ilex crenata pom pom, or Japanese holly.

When this year’s Ambiente exhibition draws to a close, FASS will donate this tree to the city of Frankfurt.
In addition to being a small gesture of gratitude to the city that has hosted us for over ten years, this donation is also meant to be a tangible sign of our commitment to sustainability.

To this end, we have worked to obtain certifications attesting to our adoption of appropriate quality, social responsibility, and environmental management systems (ISO9001, SA8000, ISO 14001). 
As an FSC®-certified user for chain of custody (license code FSC-C156715), we promote FSC®-labelled products by selecting raw materials originating from sustainable forest management.
In 2022, we joined TREEDOM as a tangible sign of our commitment to improving the well-being of people and the environment. TREEDOM plants trees in specific areas so that they will grow in association with other species, thus protecting biodiversity, contributing to the natural regeneration of the land, and conveying expertise to local communities: all this is monitored through training sessions and inspections of the project areas. 

We are constantly striving to limit consumption and reduce potential environmental impacts. To do this, we have analysed our processes and developed a GHG Inventory for the three-year period of 2021-2022 and 2023. Our goal for 2024 is to draw up our first sustainability report, in order to monitor our actual environmental and social impacts and, above all, to establish concrete short and long term targets for improvement.

When it comes to keeping your sofa clean and in top condition, the choice of material plays a crucial role. Leather sofas and fabric sofas require different approaches to cleaning and care.

But don’t worry! Arm yourself with FASS products and spend some time giving your faithful companion the freshness he deserves!

1. If your sofa is made of leather, the FASS dusting cloth is perfect for removing dirt! Then use a specific moisturising and protective product to preserve the appearance and softness of the leather over time.

2. For fabric sofas we have the right product: brush and dustpan, strictly FASS brand. Start by removing the crumbs with the brush and then collect them in the dustpan, paying attention to the corners. Treat the stains with a solution of water and mild detergent and gently dab with our Natural Green microfibre cloths. Remove the cushions if possible, wash the covers according to the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure they dry completely before putting them back on.

3. Do not place the sofa near heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces and avoid direct exposure to the sun, which can fade the colour of the fabric and dry out the leather.

4. Open windows and doors to allow good ventilation.
