The FASS Forest for a Greener World

FASS 4 Treedom was born from the daily commitment to make the planet we live on a better place for our future. We have always believed that small actions can make a big differencem, and planting a tree is one of them.

Impact
The trees we plant have ambitious goals: to bring benefits not only to the environment but also to the communities that inhabit it. That is why we work closely with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree, in the right place, for the right purpose. We take a medium- and long-term perspective, because we do not simply plant trees — we aim to help them grow.

Environmental benefits
Our work, which integrates tree cultivation into agricultural contexts, is designed to maximise the benefits for the ecosystem in which it develops. Each project has its own characteristics and, consequently, specific areas where tree planting can produce positive effects. The most common include: preventing soil erosion, enhancing biodiversity, protecting soil fertility, and creating sustainable ecosystems. Over its lifetime, each tree absorbs CO₂ (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere, storing it in its woody parts. This process removes CO₂ from the atmosphere, and its impact is greater the longer and healthier the trees are allowed to grow.

Social Benefits
Equally important is ensuring that our work delivers social benefits to the local communities involved in our projects. Funding, community building, training, and technical support are fundamental steps to launch each new initiative. Most importantly, it is essential that communities gain direct benefits from the trees in terms of food resources and economic opportunities. They will care for the trees over time and enjoy the rewards they provide.
